UPDATED: Tesco breaks Tomb Raider street date, prices game at £32

Tomb Raider is available to buy today from Tesco supermarkets.

The retailer, which is offering the game for just 32, is selling the title in MCV’s local store. Other readers have also confirmed that the game is available to buy from other Tesco outlets.

Some gamers reportedly picked up copies of the hotly anticipated title as early as Saturday March 2nd – three days ahead of the official March 5th release date.

In addition, online retailers reportedly began shipping out the game on Friday, meaning many orders were arriving on Saturday.

MCV has contacted Tesco for comment.

UPDATE: Tesco’s games buying manager Jon Moss has told MCV that the game is being removed from the shelves of any stores that have been selling it, and will be available for sale again tomorrow.

Said Moss: We take any street date break extremely seriously and are in the process of contacting stores to reiterate this message and ensure the product is taken off sale until midnight.”
