Win a record deal with Def Jam Rapstar

Def Jam Rapstar is giving aspiring rappers the chance to release a single world-renowned music label Atlantic Records.

A nationwide talent search from Britain’s next rapstar will begin on January 1st. Players will have one month to upload their best performance to www.defjamrapstar.com, where the public will be able to vote on their favourites.

HMV gamerbases and selected stores will be setting up Def Jam Rapstar freestyle stations throughout January where hopeful gamers will be able to practice.

The top 10 entrants will then be invited for the grand final in central London, where they will be judged by an as-yet-unannounced panel of hip hop and music aficionados.

The winner will be crowned Britain’s Rapstar champ and signed by Atlantic Records, who will release the gamer’s first single commercially.
