Zavvi unleashes ‘UK’s best ever entertainment sale’

Zavvi, the entertainment retailer, is opening the doors on its first ever sale since the re-branding from Virgin Megastores in September 2007.

The sale, available on the High Street and online, will see discounts on over 200,000 games and 600,000 CDs.

We have created the best ever sale that entertainment retail has ever seen,” said Zavvi CEO Simon Douglas. We are offering what amounts to possibly the largest range of discounted music and games with our warehouse clearance stock plus we have hundreds of great discounts across our extensive catalogue of DVDs, Games and CDs – there’s a huge range of real gems in the sale stock.”

With prices starting at only 2, we think our very first sale will hit a chord with our customers.”

The sale will be heavily marketed, with print advertising in The Sun, Daily Mirror and the Metro, and with posters on the London Underground and Glasgow Subway. In addition there will be online advertising and a targeted email campaign.
