Sales boost for GameStop UK

US giant GameStop is already making waves in the UK with its local estore after a hugely successful day of Black Friday deals.

The online specialist kicked off its day of promotions by selling Uncharted 3 for 22.97, which caused the site to crash almost immediately. But the firm managed to get things up and running, offering new deals every hour – including selling Battlefield 3 and FIFA 12 for under 25.

Now the company is gearing up for its next big day – ‘Cyber Monday’, which is today (December 5th).

We’re absolutely delighted with our Black Friday promotion and how it was taken up by our customers,” said UK & Ireland commercial director Michael Finucane.

Site traffic increased considerably during the promotion, and a few hiccups all got sorted. We’re looking forward to December 5th.”
