Seven Summits’ Petite wins Indie Prize at Casual Connect Asia

Seven Summits Studio’s Petite has won the award for best story in the Indie Prize at the ongoing Casual Connect Asia.

Petite is a unique ambient game that revolves around the life of a woman and several key incidents in her life. Each level finds her in a new situation involving various ‘memory spherules’, which the player must control by letting out emotions in order to unlock memory snippets.

Seven Summits comprises of Asar Dhandala and Prithvi Raj Pawar, and Petite was first conceived during Microsoft’s Dev Camps competition, where a prototype for the game was created in under 12 hours.

Having been chosen as the best game in that competition, Petite also went on to win the gold trophy at the India finals of Microsoft’s Imagine Cup.

Petite is scheduled for commercial release in June for Windows Phone, with iOS and Android versions also planned.

India had a sizeable contingent of game developers at Casual Connect Asia, and aside from Petite, three other games were also nominated for the Indie Prize:

• ROTO by Lucid Labs, which was nominated in the free-to-play category
• Exist by Narcissist Reality, which was nominated as one of the most innovative games
• Darkarta: Quest For Your Lil Honey by Tuttifrutti Interactive, which was a runner-up in the popular choice awards
