Single player adventure mode coming to Hearthstone

Card battler Hearthstone is getting a brand new single player adventure mode, Blizzard has announced.

It’s called Curse of Naxxramas and is set in ancient necropolis Naxxramas which is a base of operations for Kel’Thuzad and his rather unpleasant sounding plague-bearing undead host.

30 new cards are on offer in the mode for clearing areas and defeating bosses including the oversized arachnid Maexxna, the fungal horror Loatheb, the shambling abomination Patchwerk and devious plague cauldron master Heigan the Unclean”.

All the action takes place on a brand new boar and includes a new Class Challenge game mode.

The new mode will be released in stages over five weeks simultaneously on PC, Mac and iPad. The first part will be free. Subsequent parts can be purchased with either in-game or real currency.
