SOE confirms MMOs are go

Developer Sony Online Entertainment has confirmed that its networks are back online.

Players of titles such as DC Universe Online, Free Realms and EverQuest can now access their games for the first time in nearly a month.

"We are pleased to be back online and deeply apologise for the inconvenience caused by the recent data breach and subsequent outage," a statement confirmed.

"To thank you all for your patience and understanding, we have prepared a Welcome Back Program that includes complimentary identity theft protection, free game time and special in-game items and events.

As with PSN, all users are required to choose a new password for their account.

The company outlined its own "Make Good" plans for users last week, which will see them rewarded for the extended downtime with free in-game items and subscriptions extensions.
