Sony confirms PSPgo price cut

Platform holder Sony has at last moved to cut the price of the digital-only PSPgo.

Reuters reports that the company will cut $50 from the price of the console in North America this month, bringing its RRP down to $199.

Furthermore, the Japanese market is to see an even greater discount with the price falling to 26,800 – that’s a price drop of over $110.

The rumours vindicate claims earlier in the month that Sony was preparing to slash $50 from the price of the device in North America.

MCV has contacted SCE UK about the possibility of a European price cut.
