Sony considering Trophy reward system?

Sony’s Trophy system may still be playing catch-up to Microsoft’s popular Achievements, but if rumours are to be believed the platform holder is planning something that could drastically swing the balance.

According to CVG, the latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine reports that Sony is considering special treats for those who earn some of the harder to capture Trophies. It reads: We’ve heard that SCEA is mulling over some sort of Trophy reward system.

We doubt it’ll be cash (or the equivalent), but we suspect it might be exclusive access to early betas and the like.”

Early access to betas or demos, or perhaps maybe exclusive themes or wallpapers, is the most likely option, though don’t rule out any number of possible digital freebies.
