Sony dates 3D-capable head-mounted display

PlayStation 3 platform holder Sony will launch a 3D-enabled head-mounted display in Japan this November.

It was first shown off to the public at CES earlier this year.

The device incorporates two 720p OLED screens that give the user the impression of viewing a colossal image and also incorporates 5.1 surround sound.

It is expected to retail for around 60,000 (just under 500).

There’s no launch date for Europe or the UK as of yet.
