Sony exec hints at possible pre-E3 reveal for PS4

A Spanish language interview with Sony’s vice president of Home Entertainment Hiroshi Sakamoto appears to have confirmed a PS4 reveal in the near future.

When emol.com asked if a new model would be revealed in the coming months, Sakamoto responded: "That’s still a big secret, but our friends are preparing Sony PlayStation.

I can only say that we are focused on the E3 gaming event, scheduled for June. [The] announcement may be in that minute or even earlier in May. In that time we expect to deliver great news, but we must wait until May at least."

The ongoing game of cat and mouse between Sony and Microsoft seems very much to be coming to an end. Microsoft has already revealed a countdown to E3, pointing to a likely reveal of its new machine.

But MCV has long expected at least one of the companies to make its first move before the LA expo. Who will move first, however, remains to be seen.
