SONY: Final Fantasy 7 Remake is coming to PS4

After years of speculation, it seems that Square Enix are finally remastering Final Fantasy 7 for PS4.

An updated version of the previously-released PC port of the 1997 RPG was teased for the console at last year’s PlayStation Experience.

Now it seems that a more full-bodied remake is coming, simply entitled ‘Final Fantasy VII Remake’.

Little more was said, with a release date missing, but Sony’s Adam Boyes confirmed that the game would be coming to PlayStation 4 first.

A short teaser trailer gave a peek at a graphically-enhanced version of FF7’s world, including a version of hero Cloud in line with cinematic spin-off Advent Children.
