Sony insists it hasn’t ditched DriveClub PS Plus Edition

The free PlayStation Plus Edition of Evolution’s PS4 racer DriveClub has not been scrapped, Sony has claimed.

Although currently we do not have an update regarding the timing for the launch of the PS Plus Edition, we are continually working on improving the server capacity to enable us to launch the PS Plus Edition as quickly as possible,” a statement sent to GameSpot claimed.

The future of the release was thrown into doubt yesterday when Sony Computer Entertainment Europe president and CEO Jim Ryan refused to guarantee the release of the SKU.
