SONY: PixelJunk creator returns to 3D games with The Tomorrow Children

The studio behind the successful PixelJunk games has announced a new IP.

The Tomorrow Children breaks away from the indie games’ 2D art style to embrace 3D visuals.

The game tells the tale of a human race trapped and force to mine fallen giants, and seems to adopt a Soviet Union-style tone, with heavy use of ‘comrades’ and Russian music in the teaser.

Dylan Cuthbert of Q Games, who came on-stage to discuss the studio’s collaboration with Sony, introduced the games by stating: We’re coming back to 3D, and we’re coming back with a bit of a bang.”

The PixelJunk games were Sony exclusives when they launched on the PlayStation Network a few years ago.
