Sony recalls 1.6 million LCD TVs

Just moments after it confessed to another breach of its PlayStation Network, Sony has this morning suffered a second knock.

Reuters reports that the company is to recall over 1.5m LCD TVs after serious electrical problems.

Sony Corp will recall 1.6m LCD televisions worldwide after several incidents of TV sets emitting smoke, a company official said on Wednesday,” is the only news currently available.

It is unknown what model or models are affected, and whether it has any implications for the UK and European market.
