Sony registers ‘PlayStation Cloud’ domains

Sony has snatched up a trio of domains relating to the term ‘Playstation Cloud.’

Domains Playstation-Cloud.com, Playstation-Cloud.org, and PS-Cloud.net have appeared in the past 24 hours – pointing to Sony’s thus far unrevealed plan for cloud gaming support on the Playstation 4.

The registrations, spotted by Superannuation, support an earlier report that the firm will utilize last year’s Gaikai acquisition to provide backwards compatibility for PS3 games on the new hardware.

The news comes a day ahead of Sony’s Playstation-featured event in New York.
