Sony reveals 20th Anniversary Edition PSOne-themed PS4 console

A new PS4 console styled on the 20-year-old PlayStation One has been revealed by Sony.

With a UK price of 399/€499/$499, the machine will be limited to 12,300 units. It comes packaged with a suitably grey themed PlayStation Camera, vertical stand and DualShock 4 controller.

Interestingly the colour of the unit isn’t precisely the same as the original PSOne, with Sony saying that the systems are different shapes and are made with different materials, so although we based the colour of the special edition PS4 on the Original PlayStation, ‘Original Grey’ is a colour optimized for the PS4 system”.

Each unit will also have a commemorative panel on front inscribed with a number between one and 12,300.
