Sony US PR man quits

SCEA’s director of corporate communications David Karraker has left the company after only a year in the role.

reports that the news was broken in an e-mail from Karraker, in which he said that the decision to leave Sony was very difficult.”

The news comes one year to the day that SCEA announced Karraker would be taking over from ex-PR boss Molly Smith.

Karraker will officially leave SCEA officially on September 7th. No announcement of a replacement has been made.

He will take up the post of head of PR and events for Skyy Spirits on October 1st, returning to the drinks industry, which he worked in before joining Sony.
