Spec Ops and Evolve writer quits triple-A games

The writer behind Spec Ops: The Line and upcoming shooter Evolve has quit triple-A games development.

Announcing his departure viaTwitter, writer Walt Williams left 2K Games last week after almost a decade with the company. He claimed he will still be involved in the games industry, but will also be focusing on writing books, according toGameSpot.

"Working at 2K has been one of the most trying, difficult and mind-blowingly wonderful experiences of my life," he tweeted. "But it’s time to roll the dive again. Try something new. I’m not leaving games, but I am leaving triple-A."
