Square Enix details new UK publishing team

Publisher Square Enix has promoted three long-term employees to new senior roles.

Justin Gaffney is the firm’s new general manager of UK and Export. He has a 17-year career in the industry, following stints at Codemasters and Hasbro. He joined SCi Games as European sales manager before moving to Eidos after SCi acquired the publisher.

Meanwhile, Karine Parker steps up from sales export manager to head of UK and export sales. Parker also began at the company at SCi in 2005.

Meanwhile, Leila Chapman has been named UK sales manager. She is also a long-term employee, and has held various account manager roles.

Square Enix underwent a global restructure this year after missing its sales targets. But the firm hopes it is back on track, with big Final Fantasy games due next year, plus a new Tomb Raider in the works.
