StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void sells over 1m units in first 24 hours

Blizzard has revealed that the latest expansion to its sci-fi RTS StarCraft II has shifted over one million units since it launched last Friday (November 13th).

The publisher announced this via its StarCraft Twitter account on Friday at 8:35pm UK time (below). Legacy of the Void debuted at No.23 in the All Formats boxed charts, while it charted in third place in the full price PC charts.

This is the second expansion pack for StarCraft II. Blizzard launched StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty in July 2010 – and in August announced it has sold 1m units worldwide.

By the end of the year, Wings of Liberty had sold 4.5m units.

This was followed by the title’s first expansion pack, 2013’s Heart of the Swarm.
