Steam now boasts 100m active users

Valve’s PC sales portal Steam has reached another significant milestone.

The company says that the service now has 100m active accounts, up from the 75m figure it boasted in January.

Furthermore, there are now over 3,700 games available on Steam, with over 1,300 being added in the last nine months alone – that compares to just 304 additions in the first nine months of 2013.

We have made great efforts to increase the number of titles we can publish on Steam, which means more choices for customers,” Valve’s Alden Kroll said.

This update introduces multiple features and functionality to help customers explore Steam’s growing catalogue and find the games they are most interested in playing.”
