Future confirms plans to move all games mags to Bath office

All video games magazines currently running out of Future’s London office are to be moved to Bath.

The move was first proposed as a possibility back in May but has now been confirmed, Future has told MCV.

In addition, Daniel Dawkins has been appointed group editor-in-chief for games with James Jarvis becoming senior producer for games and tech, a role in which he will be responsible for all of games video output.

OXM’s editor Jon Hicks, staff writer Aoife Wilson and production editor Jenny Meade are all leaving the company. T3 editor Matt Hill also moves across to Gizmodo, where he becomes editor.

Last month Declan Gough was named as Future’s new head of content and marketing for films, games and music, with former games boss Lee Nutter leaving the company.

Nick Merritt was also named as head of content and marketing for technology.
