Steam stats page adds average download speeds across the world

Valve has added a new feature to Steam’s global traffic map, offering a glimpse into average download rates for each country grouped by service providers.

Now available as part of Steam’s stats page, the list can be filtered either by average download rate or total bytes.

The filters can be applied to regions, countries, or US states, and clicking on a specific area brings down a list of ISPs and their corresponding download rate.

Valve has been busy over the past month adding new features around its Steam service. Steam Broadcasting went from beta to official earlier this week, as well as an in-client and in-game FPS counter for users to take advantage of.
