Take-Two wins Metacritic publisher report

Reviews aggregation site Metacritic has named Take-Two as the most critically successful publisher of 2010.

The company emerged with a review score average of 77.1 per cent, thanks mainly to the strong reception given to Red Dead Redemption (95 per cent) and Sid Meier’s Civilization V (90 per cent). The publisher didn’t release any games that Metacritic would place into its ‘bad’ category (those that score 49 per cent or below).

The second highest rated publisher was Nintendo with an average of 76.1 per cent. It was followed by Capcom (74.5 per cent), Microsoft (73.4 per cent), EA (72.6 per cent), Activision Blizzard (69.3 per cent) and Sony (70.9 per cent).
