The NES Classic Mini is in short supply

It’s not just the PS4 Pro that has had a storming week on the UK High Street.

Supplies of Nintendo’s NES Classic Mini retro console seem to have run dry, with most major retailers seemingly out of stock of the 50 device.

As a result, aftermarket prices have rocketed. Prices with third party Amazon sellers start at 164 and go all the way up to 200. Furthermore, Amazon itself is saying that it doesn’t expect to be able to fulfil pre-orders until the middle of December.

eBay auctions, too, are now regularly passing the 100 mark.

It’s a similar story in the US where Polygon reports that GameStop has gone as far as to declaring it is out of stock the moment it picks up the phone.

Nintendo of America has promised that more stock is on the way. The UK picture is unknown for the time being.
