The Sims 3: Pets

The Sims has established itself as one of the most successful games franchises of all time, selling more than 140m units worldwide. While pets have previously featured in the simulation series, they could only be trained and doted upon.

The Sims 3: Pets allows players to actually live the life of a four legged friend. And rather than being another expansion, it’s a standalone game on consoles and PC.

This next iteration in The Sims series truly has the most innovative features we’ve seen to date” says EA’s UK product manager Bolu Akindoyin. The Sims franchise is going from strength to strength.”

A player’s best friend

Gamers can adjust the size of a creature’s snout and ears, select eye colour and even choose the texture of their pet’s fur.

Animals also have customisable traits such as laziness and friendliness.Alongside cats and dogs, players can look forward to collecting lizards, snakes, turtles and birds, with PC owners having the exclusive option to control horses. There are even unicorns in-game.

Expect Pets to be a hit with casual players and fans of The Sims.
