The Stanley Parable sells 1m copies

Mod turned award-winning indie title The Stanley Parable has surpassed 1m copies sold.

The sales account for both PC and Mac versions of the game sold through the Steam store.

Creator Davey Wreden took to Twitter to express his gratitude on the milestone – reached almost exactly one year out from its October 2013 launch, which catapulted the game to the top of the Steam charts at the time.

"A few years ago no one had any idea who I was. Today the stanley parable has sold a million copies. Thank you."

The Stanley Parable is available now on Steam.
