There won’t be a Modern Warfare 3 Prestige Edition

Activision has confirmed that there will not be a Prestige Edition of November’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

The Prestige Editions of Call of Duty released over the last two years have amazed due to the quality of their extras.

The Prestige SKU for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 included a genuine set of night vision goggles. It retailed for 119.99. Then in 2010 the Black Ops Prestige SKU, which retailed or 129.99, bundled an RC surveillance car.

However, The Hardened Edition will be the highest-end SKU available this year.

It includes the game, one year’s membership to Call of Duty: Elite (which normally costs for 34.99) along with extra goodies, a steelbook case, Xbox Live outfit and Limited Edition field journal. It retails for 79.99 – around 20 more than previous Hardened’s have cost.
