THQ announces AR Kinect game

Publisher THQ has announced a brand new Kinect IP – Fantastic Pets, which is being develop by Blitz Games.

It’s the first augmented reality game scheduled for release on the device and will see players interacting with digital animals on-screen in much the same way as is seen in Sony’s EyePet. The game will make use of both gesture and voice control.

Fantastic Pets offers an incredibly high level of interactivity, creativity and originality,” executive VP for THQ kids, family, casual games, and global online services Martin Good stated.

As you discover your pet’s personality and become enmeshed within the world, Fantastic Pets becomes more like a personalised adventure and less like a game.”

Fantastic Pets will be released for Xbox 360 in March of next year.
