THQ’s de Blob IP purchased by Nordic Games

Nordic Games has acquired one of defunct publisher THQ’s last remaining intellectual properties, de Blob.

Gamasutra reports on the purchase, which follows Nordic acquiring the rights to publish games under the THQ name and trademark earlier this year.

"It was in one of the lots, but we did not acquire entire lots. Rather some titles which were in our focus. One year ago, de Blob was not one of them (Darksiders, MX vs. ATV, Red Faction, Titan Quest were priority titles for us back then),"Nordic’s Philipp Brock stated.

"Time has passed and the conditions were right, so de Blob found a new home today."

de Blob launched in 2008 for iOS and Wii platforms, with a sequel arriving in 2011 for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo 3DS hardware.
