Tiered memberships for PlayStation Plus?

PlayStation plus could be on the way to becoming a tiered membership service, if a new survey from Sony is anything to go by.

IGN reports that the PS3 platform holder has circulated a questionnaire to PS+ members that asks if they’d be willing to pay different amounts for different perks.

Examples include a package that includes Call of Duty: Elite membership or a varying number of free Blu-ray based games.

PlayStation Plus currently costs 39.99 for a year for 11.99 for three months.

"We have nothing specific to announce at this time, but PlayStation Plus continues to delight gamers with free games, huge discounts and exclusive gaming features that can’t be found on other platforms," a Sony spokesperson stated.
