Tiger Woods 12 is series’ fastest-seller

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 has become the fastest-selling game in EA’s golf series.

It sold 225,000 copies in week one, beating previous record holder PGA Tour 08, reports Gamasutra. EA also estimates the new Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and iPhone game saw week-one digital revenue double last year’s amount.

Gamers have already recorded over 184m shots across 7m different games on PGA Tour 12 since it hit shelves on April 1st in the UK and March 29th in the US.

The golf game debuted at No.6 in the GfK Chart-Track All Formats Top 40 chart last week. It rose to No.4 this week.
