Treasure is co-developing Capcom’s Gaist Crusher

Cult studio Treasure has been revealed as the co-developer of Capcom’s upcoming 3DS title Gaist Crusher.

Siliconera, which unearthed the news, describes the title as a major IP for 3DS”.

Treasure is the surprisingly little-known name behind a host of cult titles released over the last 20 years including Gunstar Heroes, Radiant Silvergun, Ikaruga, Silhouette Mirage, Bangai-O, Gradius V and Sin & Punishment.

The game is Capcom’s touted cross-media project” that will target the kids market and place a big emphasis on collecting and multiplayer.

Gaist Crusher is due for release on 3DS in Japan this autumn.
