Twitch to live-stream MCV Awards 2016

The great and the good of the UK games industry will tomorrow head to the Hilton Bankside Hotel, London for the MCV Awards 2016.

But if you can’t make it, log on to Twitch.tv which will be live-streaming the entire event.

The live-streaming video platform is also sponsoring the Digital Marketing Team category.

Meanwhile, recruitment specialist Aardvark Swift is supporting the Community Team award.

We’re excited to be sponsoring the MCV Awards this year. We love seeing the hard work and talented people in the industry receiving recognition,"MD Ian Goodall said.

"We particularly wanted to sponsor the Community category. As the games industry has evolved in recent years, this is an area of the industry that has seen a lot of change and growth. Community teams are no longer just used to communicate with players and help to sell games.

"Most communications teams now play a crucial role in driving the direction of games development, taking the feedback from players which is then fed back to designers, coders and artists working on the next iteration of the game. So a great Community team is a very valuable resource for companies that get it right."

Over 80 companies are shortlisted for an award this year, with all revealed tomorrow evening.
