UBIDAYS 08: ‘Fully’ 3D game confirmed

Ubisoft has confirmed that a fully-3D game based on movie director James Cameron’s 3D movie Avatar is in the works – with a mid-2009 release.

At its Ubidays event in Paris, CEO of Ubisoft Yves Guillemot said the game would be out next year – presumably alongside the cinema release of Cameron’s Avatar movie, which is also being produced as 3D experience.

"We have seen it and it is wonderful," said Guillemot of the technology that is presumably being shared across the game and the film.
