Ubisoft and Nvidia confirm Assassin’s Creed Unity, Far Cry 4, The Division and The Crew tie-up

Four of the biggest games heading to PC may well perform better on Nvidia hardware than on AMD.

Ubisoft and Nvidia have extended their strategic partnership” that sees the latter’s GameWorks Team work closely with Ubisoft’s developers to maximise the use of GeForce-focused graphics tech such as TXAA antialiasing, HBAO+ ambient occlusion and PhysX.

The games in question are Assassin’s Creed Unity, Far Cry 4, The Crew and The Division.

It’s the same agreement that recently drew criticism from rival AMD and allegedly saw smash hit Watch Dogs struggle to perform on many AMD cards.

Working with NVIDIA has enabled us to bring an enhanced gameplay experience to our PC players,” Ubisoft’s senior VP of sales and marketing Geoffroy Sardin said. We look forward to continuing our partnership with NVIDIA on our biggest upcoming titles.”

Nvidia’s senior VP of content and technology Tony Tamasi added: We’re excited to continue our long-term partnership with Ubisoft in bringing our latest PC technology to their games. Through GameWorks, we have been able to add unique visual and gameplay innovations to deliver amazing experiences for these stellar Ubisoft games. I can’t wait to play them myself.”
