UBISOFT: Open world Tom Clancy game – The Division – comes to PS4, Xbox One

Ubisoft lifted the lid on its big new project at E3 today, Tom Clancy’s The Division.

Developed by Swedish studio Massive Entertainment, the game is an open-world RPG that is coming to both PS4 and Xbox One. It was the ‘one last thing’ at the publisher’s pre-E3 press conference, and is due out in 2014.

The game is set in a future damaged by a deadly virus, and where society has collapsed. The Division are a secret force of independent tactical agents designed to help stop the world from ending.

Our goal with Tom Clancy’s The Division is nothing short of completely changing the way people play online RPGs,” said executive producer Fredrik Rundqvist.

With the power of next-gen consoles behind it, The Division puts players in the middle of breathtaking, persistent multiplayer thriller in which they will explore, fight and work together as modern society collapses around you, all with the authenticity for which Tom Clancy games are renowned.”
