Ubisoft’s Uplay to offer EA, Warner games

Ubisoft’s digital distribution platform Uplay will soon expand to offer games from third-party publishers, the company has announced.

"We have about 15 partners with about 25 to 30 titles that will be available at launch," Ubisoft’s Uplay director Stephanie Perotti told GamesIndustry.

Aside from EA and Warner Bros, Uplay will also offer games from Telltale Games, 1C Company, Interactive, Freebird Games, Iceberg Interactive, Nordic Games, Paradox Interactive, Recoil Games, Robot Entertainment, and Torn Banner Studios, and Perotti says Ubisoft is looking to add more partners over the coming months.

The Uplay service currently has around 50 million users, Perotti revealed.

Ubisoft’s partnership with EA will also see Ubisoft’s games available on EA’s Origin digital platform. Assassin’s Creed 3 and Far Cry 3 will be the first to appear on Origin in the coming days.
