UK CHARTS: Wii Fit sprints back to the top

Since it topped the charts on its debut week 12 weeks ago, stock issues have seen Nintendo’s Wii Fit dip in and out of the listings – but a renewed push from the publisher has this week seen the title return to the top of the ChartTrack All Formats Top 40.

Wii Fit knocks fellow Nintendo title Super Smash Bros Brawl off the top spot to number three, with LucasArts’ LEGO Indiana Jones creeping up one place to second position – though the archaeological adventure ended up just 167 sales ahead of Nintendo’s cartoon fighter.

Tennis fever sees 2K’s Top Spin 3 serve its way from number six to number four, whilst Activision’s Kung Fu Panda puts in a stellar performance to jump from 16th position to ninth place. Wall*E also enters the Top 40 for the first time, whilst Ubisoft’s Wii title Sports Party is the only chart debutant, capturing 29th.
