UK DS announcement incoming

A UK DS price cut could well be on the cards following news of price reductions across Nintendo’s handheld range in Japan this morning.

When asked by MCV, a spokesperson for Nintendo UK stated: We will be making a statement about our plans in Europe later on today and we appreciate your patience until that time.”

The obvious conclusion to draw is that Nintendo will be lowering the trade price of its machine, though of course it could potentially be nothing more than the launch of some new colours or SKU alterations.

Last month that a senior global publisher boss told MCV that he was expecting price cuts across the board in 2010.
