US: Xbox 360 enjoys best week of 2009

Not wanting to be outdone by Sony, Microsoft has claimed that Xbox 360 enjoyed its best US sales week of 2009 over Thanksgiving – though it has stopped short of giving us exact numbers.

Director of product management Aaron Greenberg said on Twitter: Great Black Friday results just in, biggest sales week of the year for Xbox 360, more than twice previous week sales.”

No numbers were given, however, meaning that we don’t know if the machine enjoyed a year-on-year increase or suffered an annual decline.

Sony has stated that the PS3 enjoyed its strongest ever Thanksgiving week whilst Nintendo had to stomach a year-on-year fall in its Wii sales.
