Over the weekend indie developer Adriel MsMinotaur” Wallick proposed to Rami Ismail, co-founder of Vlambeer, in Destiny.
Wallick roped in the folks over at Bungie to help her out, getting them to add in a custom proposal emote and ring to allow her to pop the question properly. According to Wallick it was marketing producer Poria Torkan who was the driving force behind it, convincing an entire team of Destiny developers to work on the custom items.
When the two players jumped into the game Ismail was greeted with a letter at the Postmaster titled A Letter from Adriel,” before finding Wallick’s character down on one knee gifting him the ring. Of course Ismail said yes.

Amazingly the proposal almost didn’t happen at all, thanks to the massive DDoS attack that took place over the weekend. The attack took down many large internet services and prevented the couple from playing Destiny initially. Fortunately Destiny came back online just in time for the proposal.
Tonight's DDOS made someone who just came home after months of travel really sad. pic.twitter.com/kDyBVgl4pJ
