Vlambeer’s Rami Ismail to speak at NGDC 2013

Rami Ismail, one half of influential indie developer Vlambeer, will speak at this year’s NASSCOM Game Developer Conference.

Vlambeer is the team behind the critical and commercial hit Ridiculous Fishing. The studio was also in the news a few months ago when its next game, Luftrausers, was cloned by a little known Indian studio and released on the App Store, sparking debates on the cloning issue.Luftrausers is set for release later this year.

The two-man team has also announced Wasteland Kings, the development of which will be live-streamed. Sony announced at Gamescom this month that Wasteland Kings would arrive first on PS4 and PS Vita when it releases next year.

We’re not sure yet what Ismail’s talk at NGDC will focus on, but it most certainly will not be a dull affair. If you were on the fence about attending NGDC this year, this should be all the convincing you need.

As we earlier reported, Square Enix chairman Yoichi Wada and Every Day the Same Dream developer Paolo Pedercini will also speak at this year’s conference.

NASSCOM Game Developer Conference 2013 will take place on 15th and 16th November at the JW Marriot Hotel in Pune. Registrations are now open.
