Watch Dogs: Made in Britain

Ubisoft’s new IP took the world by storm when it debuted in E3 – and it’s being made in Britain.

Well, partly in Britain. Watch Dogs’ main developer Ubisoft Montreal is collaborating with Newcastle-based studio Ubisoft Reflections.

Reflections’ most recent product was Driver: San Francisco, a game praised for both its driving mechanics and its open world – two things that will be key to Watch Dogs’ success.

The UK developer is in the process of recruiting for more people work work on Watch Dogs, seeking programmers and artists.

"Reflections has been attentively watching the reaction to Watch Dogs at E3," said the studio’s general manager Giselle Stewart. "The studio is very excited to be working with Ubisoft Montreal on this new IP, and is currently expanding its team developing for this title.

"We have openings available for talented creative directors, senior gameplay programmers and experienced GUI artists. Applicants can put themselves forward by visiting Ubisoft’s website."
