Activision will be unveiling its official Destiny 2 gameplay premiere global livestream this evening, and you can watch it all right here at MCV. The action kicks off at 6pm UK time, and will be broadcasted from an airplane hangar in Hawthorne, California, according to Activision.

Developer Bungie will be on hand, as well as special guests, to talk about the debut gameplay footage of its upcoming shooter.

After the initial story trailer earlier this year, this will be the first time we’ll be able to see Destiny 2 running in the flesh. We’re expecting loot, loot, loot, more loot, a slightly less confusing backstory this time round, and a whole bunch of Nathan Fillion to feature in Destiny 2, and we should hopefully find out more details about its upcoming beta – which will no doubt give PS4 players first dibs like the first game – as well as any potential expansions.

We already know Destiny 2 will be a fresh start for the series, as players’ characters, weapons and gear from the first game will not be able to be carried over.

The game is set to be one of the biggest releases of 2017, and will launch on PS4, Xbox One and – for the first time – on PC later this year on 8th September.
