Wii 2 set for E3 reveal?

Nintendo could reveal the first details of a successor to the Wii at this year’s E3 Expo.

That’s according to Stern Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia, Gamasutra reports, adding that Nintendo needs to catch up to the more advanced hardware used by its rivals.

We would not be surprised if Nintendo unveiled the specifications of its next console at E3 in June this year, followed by product introduction early next year,” he said.

However, Bhatia does not expect to see a new PlayStation or Xbox console for at least two to three years.

Reports emerged earlier this week that Microsoft is hiring staff to work on the successor to the Xbox 360.
