Wii Fit fever hits the High Street

The next week could become one of the most lucrative in games retail history as Wii Fit hits shelves today – followed by GTA IV on Tuesday.

Queues formed nationwide this morning as eager Wii owners snapped up the fitness-focused title, complete with balance board.

Media coverage has hit an all-time high too – this morning’s Metro newspaper features a cover wrap takeover and is one of many media outlets to feature high profile advertising features.

Fortunately the trade has overseen an orderly release – there were no broken street dates reported for Wii Fit, but now the focus shifts onto GTA IV and its release on Tuesday 29th.
