Wii Fit Plus is UK’s Xmas Budget Games No.1

Nintendo’s Wii Fit Plus may have been just the ninth-bestselling game in the UK last week – but while it didn’t come close to toppling Black Ops from No.1, it scored a small victory outside of the All Formats chart.

The fitness game made it to the top of the UK’s Budget chart, making it an Xmas No.1 in budget price terms.

Wii Fit is an evergreen seller for Nintendo – one of the many games the firm uses to attract users all year round.

The franchise has sold over 4.4m units – 3m for Wii Fit and 1.4m for add-on Wii Fit Plus.

Other big hits in the budget games chart were Just Dance 2 at No.2, Wii Sports Resort at No.3 and EA’s new, heavily-publicised release Monopoly Streets at No.7.
