WipEout HD speeds onto Blu-ray

SCEE has confirmed that its technically accomplished future racer WipEout HD, which to date has only been available as a download on the PlayStation Store, is to get a boxed retail release in the UK next month.

The package will also include the recently released and critically applauded DLC add-on WipEout Fury, which doubles the amount of in-game content.

As well as appealing to fans of Studio Liverpool’s long-running series, WipEout HD has also proved popular with the tech crowd as it’s one of the only next-gen games to boast 1080p visuals that run at 60fps.

WipEout HD will be released on October 16th priced at 19.99. It will cost €24.99 on the continent.
